“
For myself, I need to rediscover sentiment
. . . and find a meaningful synthesis of robust
sensibility and classical containment,
durability. The external force is tempered
by reconsideration, re-examination.
At this time, my work attempts an
intuitive process which might be termed
deliberate, whereby, I may see the work
slowly evolve - so I might taste all. Most of
the pictures underwent exhaustive changes
to establish an image of accumulated vision.
I'm convinced one creates his own
individual era, so his works must be profoundly
identifiable to his own arm and liver.
I do not find myself bound by any
particular aesthetic theory, past or present,
since painting is a timeless art, timelessly
experienced.
